Agave Nectar (Sometimes called agave syrup) is most often produced from the
Blue Agaves that thrive in the volcanic soils of Southern & Central Mexico. To make
the agave nectar, sap is extracted from the pina, filtered and heated at low temperature,
which breaks down the carbohydrates into sugar.
Lighter and darker varieties of agave Nectar are made from same plants. Because of low
temperatures used in processing many varieties (Under 118 F) raw foods enthusiasts
generally regard agave nectar as a natural raw food easy to digest & process by human body.
The taste of agave nectar is comparable, though not identical to honey.
Our agave Nectar Organic Manik is made with our own agaves that our family harvest in the
low lands of Jalixco, same as our tequila Manik.
It is think and completely natural with no artificial flavors or color added & no water added.
